Big Sur

Traveling Big Sur is typically a pricey trip that normally elitists go on, but we wanted to do it, but as cheap as possible. Big Sur is technically Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park So that’s actually where you are going to head. But you should first stop at McWay falls which is sort of outside the park. This cannot be walked up to and is smaller than it seems in photos, but worth seeing!
After we started our descent to Pfeiffer Beach. If you read something that the sand is purple, I hate to break it to you - it isn’t really PURPLE but has hints of it. And I call this a descent because you have to drive a REALLY long backroad with creeks and potholes to get to the lot. There is also NO cell service!
After this, we headed back up the crazy road and made a pit stop to see the Redwood trees. Since we weren’t going anywhere North we wanted to see them. And again, we wanted to get out of the park before dinner to save on dinner costs. Everything here was honestly very expensive. But nonetheless, we had a great time!
