Cuyahoga Valley National Park was one of the first parks I went to for a multi-day trip. There are multiple areas/ entrances to the park so be sure you accurately plan where to go for the hike/ sight you want to do!

The must-do parts of this park are, Brandywine Falls, Blue Hen Falls, Plateau Trail, Ledges Trail and Beaver Marsh. I am NOT an avid hiker or very athletic and these trails were simple and definitely family-friendly. The Beaver Marsh would also be ADA friendly! f for some reason you could only do one thing here I would say Ledges Trail was the neatest thing this side of the states honestly! There are these “bat caves” that are more like long moss covered caverns that were really neat to explore and not something found often on the East side of the states.

If you want to do something REALLY neat in the area you can rent kayaks at a place (we used Crooked River) and rent kayaks and kayak down the river. There are a few companies that do this so pick whatever one you like most and go with them. You park your car at the end and they take you in an old rickety van to the start. Then you head down the river at your own pace which was the best part. They say it can take 2.5 hours but some stretch it out by packing food and going at a more leisurely pace. This was really a highlight of the second day!

If you’re looking for a place to stay, we lodged at a local KOA and rented a primitive cabin that was about $80 a night. It was the closest and very clean. KOA has everything you may need and we packed our own food to cook over the fire. They had a pool, lake and outdoor activities you can do as a family also.
