Where Is It?

The Pirate Tower is an abandoned 60-foot tower located on Victoria Beach in Laguna, California.

How To Find It?

Getting to the Pirate Tower is one of the hardest things. The actual GPS address is 2713 Victoria Dr, Laguna Beach, CA 92651 - but parking can be kind of complicated. If you check out this map I always park on the roads I marked in yellow. DO NOT block driveways, park in no parking areas or park for too long. You’ll be ticketed and/or towed. Then you’ll make your way down the public access steps. This is actually really a nice area and you should be mindful that these are people’s homes. Acknowledge from afar! Once you’re down these steps you’ll keep making your way right. IT IS IMPERATIVE that you check the tide before you go. Low tide is your friend. There’s nothing worse than getting there and the tide is too high to get there. Also, note that you’ll need to leave BEFORE high tide too.

Is There Parking?

Yes, there is LIMITED parking in the neighborhood.

Are There Bathrooms?

Nope! But there are many gas stations and fast food stops down the street to stop at first or after.

Is There Shopping, Food or Novelty Museums?

Nope.

How Far Is The Walk/Hike To The Destination?

Depending on where you park it’s about a 1/4 mile down the steps and to the tower. Depending on how high the tide is is dependant on how long it will take you to get to the destination. It took us about a half-hour, but we stopped for a variety of photos.

Is This Handicap Accessible?

No these steps are steep!

Is This A Family-Friendly Destination?

Absolutely! This is a beach and pretty secluded!

Just in case you were planning to enter the tower it is not accessible!
