California is a travelers paradise for sure. There are parks, beaches and cities galore and choosing one could be hard. However, I think you should have Santa Monica pier on your list for sure. There is so much you can do here, but even if you only have an hour or so the stop is worth it.

Is There Parking?

There are three large lots - Lot 1 North - 1550 Appian Way, Civic Center Garage - 333 Civic Center Dr, and Garage Parking Structures 4-8 - 2nd and 4th Streets, Downtown Santa Monica and two small lots Hot Dog on a Stick - 1633 Ocean Front Walk and The Pier Parking Deck, 200 Santa Monica Pier.

Is There Shopping, Food or Novelty Museums?

There is literally everything imaginable here. Food (quick and sit down), arcades, amusement rides, the beach, the ocean, photo spots and more. Some expensive and some free.

Is This Handicap Accessible?

The entire pier is accessible, and the beach is flat - however thick and sandy.

Is This A Family-Friendly Destination?

This is more geared to older elementary kids and up, but definitely as family-friendly as you can get being open to the public.
