Honeymoon Island

Florida is just one great beach. Okay, not really, but it does have about a million beaches. It’s hard to narrow down to just one to go tom but if you’re looking for one that’s about an hour's drive from Orlando, I’d stick with Honeymoon Island.
Where Is It?
Honeymoon Island is located in Dunedin, Florida and is a West Coast, gulf beach.
How To Find It?
Drop 1 Causeway Blvd, Dunedin, FL 34698 into your GPS, hold your breath for the mid-state traffic and then enjoy the coastal views when you get there.
Is There Parking?
Yes, there is a big lot! There is also an entrance fee of $4-$8 depending on how many people are in your car.
Are There Bathrooms?
Yes! Port-o-Potties and a “real” bathroom at the snack stand.
Is There Shopping, Food or Novelty Museums?
Yes! There are actually a few spots in the park. There’s a glorified snack spot that has AMAZING lemonade too! There were also beach rentals too.
How Far Is The Walk/Hike To The Destination?
This is a pretty large beach and there is a boarded walk to get from the parking areas to the actual beach.
Is This Handicap Accessible?
It’s Florida. Everything is level, but there is lots of sand.
Is This A Family-Friendly Destination?
Absolutely! The name of this beach is actually because it used to be an adults-only resort beach. There were a few families there, but as a whole, during the offseason, this is not very crowded.
