Visiting The Color Factory

My best friend and I like to find random places and go on little adventures. During Winter one year I found the overly Instagrammed Color Factory, showed it to her and we booked the trip.

Although we could’ve driven, we decided to let Megabus do the driving so we could relax, which was great because we slept almost the entire way! Once the bus dropped us off 20 blocks further away than we thought we started walking towards the Color Factory. I recommend getting your tickets online for an early time so you can take part in the second half of the exhibit which is on the streets and at local shops.

Once we got down the street from the exhibit we stopped at a market next door to grab lunch. There was even an eating area above the market which we took advantage of. Then we went to the Color Factory forty-five minutes before our ticket time and waited in line. Once we got past check-in we stopped at the restroom (that had glitter toilets) and then dropped our coats at coat check. Then our timeslot started and our exhibit began.

The whole exhibit was extremely fun. Besides the first part, you can go at your own pace but the set up does guide you through the museum through doors and photo ops. You are free to take as many photos as you’d like throughout the exhibits also. Take a peek at some of the photos we got during the exhibit and on the streets after!

PS, the ball pit is possibly the best part - remember to wear socks and not arrive in flip flops!
