Easy Ways To Make More Money From Your Shop

You have a shop. It’s making money. But like, not enough. Or you think it’s making enough, but could you be making more? Are you leaving money on the table? Probably! What if I told you that you could work the same amount but get paid more? You’d think I’m crazy BUT IT’S TRUE. Here’s a bunch of ways to increase your shop’s revenue (sometimes with just a few clicks)

RAISE YOUR PRICES

Did your make costs, shipping or fees go up? They do yearly most of the time - don’t lose money by not updating them. However, every year you should account for inflation. If you raise your prices by 50cents and make 5000 sales this year, you would’ve just made an extra $2500 by just bulk editing your pricing. Lastly, are you dominating your space more than you did when you set your prices? If so you REALLY need to raise prices. If you want more info on pricing, check out THIS article.

CUSTOMIZATION

Do a lot of people ask you to change your product’s color, font or design? Do they personalize by putting their name on it or initials? If so they need to pay a fee for this. If you don’t offer this, consider doing so and adding a fee. Consider also have a “rush my order” option where their order goes to the top of your list. This must have a premium fee to it also. Lastly, offering gift wrapping may take a wee bit more time but you can tack on a $2-5 fee for this when the paper may only cost a few cents.

SHIP INTERNATIONALLY

It burns my biscuits when people say they don’t want the headache of selling internationally. This translates to “I only want easy American money.” It is NOT hard to fill out a customs sheet and ship internationally. Charge what the shipping costs and do it. Yes, you may have to print out an address that goes to somewhere foreign because the address doesn’t have native letters and you may have to translate a few messages but the money is there! Last year I officially shipped to 112 countries and 30% of my sales were foreign. Do you know where I’d be if I made 30% less last year? At a 9-5 job.

SELL DIGITAL ITEMS

Find something in your niche that can be a digital item. This way you do the work ONCE and can profit from it forever. Literally. This item can keep selling if you die!

SELL MORE PRODUCTS

Yes, this will take more time but making more designs or pieces similar to what you already do gives you more chance to be found in Etsy search. Therefore you have more ways to sell.

ADVERTISE
